You're right - letting the interest rate on student loans double this year would be idiotic. However, you seem to still be missing the horrible problems of unemployment and underemployment. I know lots of college grads who have jobs - but at KMart, McDonalds, etc. We need growth & real jobs.

Bad Approach To Student Loan Rates

Of course, allowing rates on student loans to double in July is bad. However, going to college campuses to tell students "Congress needs to fix this" is bad politics, bad leadership, & bad governing. Instead of getting on AF1, host key Congresspeople at the White House and work together to fix it.
