Being Anonymous

I love that I can "speak my mind" here and be anonymous. Not even Google can tell it's me and I don't have to worry about what my neighbors and potential employers will think.

Is there anyway to put a time limit on when a note is archived? My note from 3 months ago should not be archived if I want to write a new one, in my opinion.

Comments

Comments are the worst thing that's happened to this site. So many commenters are acting as though only people who agree with them has a right to say anything. I feel like I can't write without being prepared for the inevitable attack on it.

Searching

Love the site, reading/writing notes, and engaging in (often spirited) debate with fellow commenters. However, I would love a way to perform a general search of content on the site rather that just searching for people's or organisation's names.

Filter Options

I'd really like to see new filter options - when looking at someone's page I'd like to filter by "most popular note" (has the most "votes" of any kind) or by the votes themselves - the post writing activity, not just what's written!

More Color On Fastnote?

When i saw the red heart on the main page it made me think about how other websites have colorful things on them and how it draws attention to people. I think it would be cool to have more color on the site! But it's still cool to have your own look!

Anonymous Notes?

The FAQ says "All Notes and Comments Must Be Anonymous" and yet I keep seeing personal notes where the writer says they are someone specific. Seems like it would be easy to pretend to be someone and send fake notes. Why is this happening?

Awesome New Website!

What a terrific website and public forum! Thanks for introducing me to this new site...I 'll pass the word out West to all my "stay at home Mom types" to check it out. We love to speak our minds! Way to go Fastnote!

I thought this site encourages,in fact insists on civility. How is calling someone a useless human being civil? Doesn't that make the language hateful and degrading? I was deleted for saying someone was a rat!

Cyber Bullying

Today is National Stop Bullying Day. Fastnote has good policies against bullying and I wanted to recognize you for that. If anyone is interested, the US Health and Human Services agency has a good anti-bullying site: http://bit.ly/h4nN8h

Clean Up Your Site

When doing a specific search don't show everything remotely close, get enough of that on the internet. Tired of scrolling through countless mundane topics every time I ask for a specific person or organization. Keep it up and I'll become a past user!

Suggestion

I am new to the site and I love the concept, but I do have one suggestion - make a separate site for CMS.

Mooresville Chaos

Who's running this place? Another Town Manager down the tubes because the Board of Commissioners cant seem to reconcile their "Philosophical differences".How much are we paying to wipe this slate clean? AGAIN! And the Mayor?Who needs a mayor? A Mess.

I have told my friends to check the site out! I enjoy using it and think that its an awesome way to write notes!

New Format

These comments are awesome! Nice new add!

Sharing URL

on "Share" it should also provide just the raw URL. Also the title of the topic should link back to that topic and the comments contained in it. When I link to an individual topic the comments should be opened up by default.

Suggestion

Any way we can "Agree" or "Disagree" with a comment? Would love to vote on the different sides presented of an issue. Lots of "grays" in between the black and white and often more than one solution presented.

Suggestion

Add a tab for "Most Commented" like the "Most Recent" so we can see what's generating dialogue or controversy. Would make me weigh in more on issues.
